Review 1 (10/10/12)
Ronnie Mackie, Quality Improvement Officer, Glasgow Citty Council

"...It was a superb evening's entertainment. It was obvious that a great deal of hard work had gone into the rehearsal process. Cast, musicians, technicians and crew combined exceptionally well to produce a colourful, vibrant show full of energy. Acting, singing and dancing were all of a highly impressive standard. I, like the rest of the audience thoroughly enjoyed the production. Please pass on my thanks and congratulations to the Production team and of course to the young people themselves."

"I would like to take this opportunity to send our warmest congratulations to the cast of Grease.  Each and every young person who took part in the performance not only done themselves proud, but they are all an absolute credit to their families, friends, fellow pupils and staff of CHS.  A huge thanks to all staff who helped to make this show possible - Mrs Stevenson, Mrs Campbell, Miss Pratt, Mr Boland, the musicians, stage crew, lights/sounds, backstage ... too many to mention (not forgetting your actors!!).  All the hard work and dedication has paid off and I'm sure every audience member feels the same way as we do.  Please send our thanks and best wishes to all involved for  sharing their talents with us - a night that will be a great memory forever!! Grease is the word on everyones lips in Castlemilk right now!!!"

"I felt I had to write to congratulate your staff and children on an excellent production of Grease.  I attended last night as a guest of Mrs Stevenson and was most impressed by the energy and enthusiasm of the cast.  Having been involved in musical theatre myself for a number of years, I know the amount of time and effort that must have gone into this production and it showed.  It never ceases to amaze me how a show comes together for opening night with so many people having to do their bit to pull it all together and gel for an evening of entertainment.  Grease is such an involved show – highly technical, lots of chorus numbers, period costumes, and nothing easy in the staging either – with a car involved!  The main highlight though, was the cast.  It was great to see so many talented kids on stage and enough to double cast the show as well!  There’s no measure for what children get out of a production like this, but it will leave them with memories of happy times that they can cherish for the rest of their lives...."
