Language skills are a necessity and a right for EVERYONE. Here at Castlemilk High School, pupils and staff celebrated the European Day of Languages on the 26th September 2013.
The overall objectives are to raise awareness of:
· To preserve Europe’s rich linguistic diversity
· To facilitate the learning and understanding of many languages
· To allow people develop some ability in two languages, or more, to be able to participate in European.
The ‘comenius teaching assistants’ in Glasgow were welcomed to Castlemilk High School on the 21st of May 2014. They introduced their countries and languages to the public. Pupils learned about Hungary, Italy, Portugal and Romania. Many thanks go to the assistants for their time.
