Course Description
S1-S3 BGE
In S1, pupils gain musical knowledge, understanding and skill by actively taking part in musical experiences. The music department aims to prepare pupils for a lifetime of musical experience and enjoyment through the following activities:

Singing

Playing instruments

Composing
-
Listening
Next, pupils enjoyment in music I promoted to develop creativity and heighten critical awareness. Each pupil is encouraged to develop skills in performing, listening and inventing through individual work and participation in group music making.
Practical experience is gained through keyboard, drumkit and singing, while Listening and Inventing activities focus on Scottish and World music, orchestral units and Music in the Media.
