Hip Hip Hoor‘AAAAA’y!

Castlemilk High School continues to ‘Close the Gap’ to ensure their young people are best prepared for the challenges of life and work in the 21st Century.    The determination of the young people in the school to overcome social barriers to success has led Castlemilk High School to achieve the best Higher results ever!

The Headteacher, Lynn McPhillips said, “The success of Castlemilk High School is due to the hard work, drive and determination of our young people, our staff, our parents and the whole school community.  We continually raise the aspirations of our young people and they believe in themselves and their ability to succeed.  We are delighted that the young people have achieved the results they deserve and we hope their positive results will enable them to continue to fulfil their hopes and dreams for the future.

The number of pupils achieving passes at 3+ Highers and 1+ Highers has doubled in the past four years with nine pupils achieving 5 Highers or more and a number of S6 pupils achieving Advanced Higher.  An example of these achievements can be seen in Drama where all nine pupils presented achieved a Band A pass at Higher.

The Headteacher Lynn McPhillips added, “Castlemilk High School is on a journey of continuous improvement.   We look forward to building on the successes of our young people in the years to come.”
