  For the last school week of the term we continued to be just as busy………..

 

·         Three S5 pupils attended an educational lecture at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Glasgow on Monday afternoon.

 

·         A  group of 15 S2 pupils attended the Christmas Science Lecture at Glasgow Clyde College (Langside Campus) on Monday with Mrs McKenna and Dr Grosshans.

 

 

·         Some of our female pupils represented the school in this year’s Christmas Cup at Toryglen on Tuesday. They were disappointed not to make the final rounds but played well.

 

·         Have you had a look at the TV System fitted in the P.E Corridor at the end of last week?  It will display pupils’ work, videos and share information with pupils. Showing at the moment :  a 30 minute clip including Ceilidh Dancing from St Andrews Day, the Cheerleaders, the gymnasts, the Glasgow Badminton Championships and a power point presentation on how PE celebrate success produced by Laura.

 

End of term activities have been taking place all week including the Ceilidh afternoon, the S1,2 Rewards afternoon, the Panto and the 5 a side football tournament ending today with the Christmas themed non-uniform day and Christmas Assembly. The staff football team were beaten by the S3 team in the final.

 

·         Mr Mackie thanked everyone who made the trip to the Panto the success it was, 79 pupils from S1 to 6 attended and all had a great time.

 

·         An S5 pupil has gained an apprentice position as a service technician with East End Tyres and Exhausts.

 

·         Both Mr Mackie and Mr Munro were on Santa duty this week at Castleton Primary and Croftfoot Primary respectively.

 

·         The skiers return this evening.

 

·         Mrs Morgan and 6 x S3 pupils attended a World War 1 Commemoration event at Celtic Park this week.
