Here is are some other stories from this week at Castlemilk High School
 
1) There was a presentation to all S4 on Tuesday from the Glasgow Council on Alcohol.
 
 2) P.E. have started Ceilidh dancing with every class this week. Tickets are on sale from the P.E department now for the Ceilidh evening on the 16th December.
 
3) A group of staff and friends ‘closed down ‘ the outdoor activity cetre last weekend. A big thank you is due to those who contributed; Brian Burnett, Irene Campbell, Jim Fullarton, Ronnie Gilliland, Fraser McCormick,Mary McKenna and Frank Murdoch.
 
4) A  group of S3 pupils visited the Tramway for a printmaking workshop on Wednesday 13th November 2013.
 
5) Mr Oberg has been talking at assemblies this week looking for interested students to become involved in the planning and design stages of our  garden and food growing project.
 
6) On Tuesday 12th November 2013, the girl’s football team won 5 out of their 6 games at Toryglen and beat the team who is first in the league 3-2. This should mean that they go into the last game before Christmas in 2nd place.
 
7)  Mr Munro attended assemblies this week to discuss the next Uganda Excursion – June 2015 and invite pupils to apply for a place.
 
8) Our Sports Ambassadors, Chloe Watson and Toni Mckay delivered PE lesson to P7s in Miller this week.
 
9) Mr Munro also attended a Mountain Bike Championship (Scottish Cyclo- Cross Competition) on Sunday at Strathclyde Park with Jack McQuaig and Adam Hamilton in freezing conditions. Jack was placed 25th out of 40 and Adam completed the race in the required time.
