Accreditation by ASDAN
Castlemilk High is delighted to have been awarded as an ASDAN CENTRE for this session.
ASDAN is a pioneering curriculum development organisation and awarding body, offering programmes and qualifications that explicitly grow skills for learning, skills for employment and skills for life. This means that the School is now registered and qualified to offer courses in Personal development.
ASDAN 's Personal Development Programmes offers imaginative ways of developing, recording and certificating a wide range of young people’s personal qualities, abilities and achievements, as well as introducing them to new activities and challenges.
Students select a number of challenges from the 13 modules that make up the Personal Development Programmes and then compile a portfolio of evidence to show what they have done. The module titles are:

Students gain credits for each section completed. Students are required to plan and review their work at key points, explaining how they have developed their skills in six areas: Teamwork, Learning, Coping with problems, Use of Maths, Use of English and Use of IT.
After students' portfolios have been internally moderated by the school , ASDAN will issue certificates following successful moderation.
