Mini news round 28th April – 9th May 2014.
· The gardeners having been making great progress after school planting and converting the bike canopy into a plant friendly area.
· Natalie, the active schools coordinator, accompanied an S1 group of pupils to experience both hockey training and watching a competitive match.
· The newly formed partnership with the school and Glasgow Caledonian University continues. Mr Oberg met with them this week and has arranged for a group of National 4 pupils to attend GCU over the coming weeks again with an emphasis on skills for employment and life.
· The Parent Council met with Mr Munro and Mrs King on Wednesday evening – the joint fund raiser (Uganda/Parent Council) Race Night will now be held on 6th June.
· The Hot Housing programme continues using every spare minute we have including Saturdays, Sundays, holiday Monday!
· The girls football team have finished 3rd in the league! See the results attached. Great outcome for our small school
· The Princes Trust group spent a day with the SQA gaining experience of the many jobs within the SQA offices, accompanied by Mrs Morgan. They received very positive feedback!
· A group of staff participated in the Race for Life 5K. The atmosphere at Glasgow Green was amazing with 14,000 runners in pink,(including dogs and babies. Well done all!
