·         A group of S2 girls and boy’s football teams represented the school in a tournament today.

 

·         S4 and S5/6 assemblies were extended to allow for British Gas to talk to the year groups regarding apprenticeship opportunities.

 

·         The  OPAL (Open Air Laboratories from Millport) visit took place last week for the NAT 4 and 5 Biologists and S3 EC organised by Mrs Toal.

 

·         •The S4 Prince’s Trust class attended a ‘Welcome To Your Future’ day at Hampden Park on Thursday with Miss White.

 

·         •The seniors completed questionnaires (‘most likely to awards’) for the school yearbook.

 

·         A parents’ information session was held on Monday evening with around 18 families. They heard from Mr Fraser, Mr Weir, and Mr Coyle and from the Advance Higher Hub. The senior options were discussed with an increased choice on offer as well as careers advice

 

·         The results from the auditions for Disco Inferno were released on Thursday delighting many pupils with a double cast being possible due to so much talent!

 

·         Welcome to Miss Harrison to PE.

 

·         Duke of Edinburgh – great news; following a meeting Mrs Heffron and Mrs King had with DoE management we have a full set of outdoor equipment being purchased for the school including tents, ruck-sacks, and gas stoves.

 

·         The spring edition of the newspaper Castlemilk News has five very positive articles on Castlemilk High School – worth a look. Mr Boland did a great job keeping us on time for contributing articles.

 

·         The School outdoor centre groups for S2 are just about finalised with tension mounting for the second years as they wait to find out about which group they are in.

 

·         The Race Night fundraiser for the Uganda Humanitarian Experience raised £1000!  What a great effort from parents, pupils, staff and Stuart as the organiser.
