Pupils attend creative writing workshop
This event, on Thursday 7th June, was part of the West End Festival programme from Glasgow libraries. Pupils were invited to share tips and tricks from teen writer Cathy Forde to improve their story writing technique and to develop ideas for stories. After a short talk about her own writing career, Cathy led the pupils out onto Byres Road, where they took notes about everything they saw around them, such as a man on the top of a church, an ambulance stopped at a bank, a strangely dressed lady walking a dog, and someone walking along the street crying!
Cathy explained that observing everyday things on the street is the best way to come up with ideas for stories, which are everywhere!
