·         Two Senior pupils attended a Scottish Business Class meeting with me on Tuesday where they presented their experience of working with Glasgow Caledonian University. They received great feedback:

 

“On behalf of SBC, I would like to say a big thank you for your support yesterday, in presenting at SBC’s “Business Class in Action Event” and answering the many questions.

We hope you enjoyed the experience and found it interesting, you certainly presented a very powerful message, which I know the business people found very informative.”

 

·         Congratulations to the Senior team who are now through to the Money for Life Challenge Scotland final.  They will be one of five teams competing for the title of ‘Scotland Money for Life Challenge winners 2015.’ They will also be in with a chance of winning the Scotland People’s Prize -this is a huge achievement! 

·         The leavers committee have invited staff to include some farewell messages to the pupils and advice for the future before Tuesday.

 

·         Three S3 pupils have been selected to take part in a’ Good Grub’ programme run by Ardenglen Housing Association . Good Grub will run for six weeks starting today in the Maureen Cope Community Hall.  At the end of the course participants will be awarded a certificate in Elementary Food & Hygiene’

 

·         S4/5/6 pupils attended the Commonwealth Apprenticeship Initiative Jobs Fair on Thursday.

 

·         18 x S1 pupils earned a reward period that the S5/6 Personal Development class organised on Wednesday afternoon.  The pupils all have more than 98% attendance and less than 3 removes.

 

·         The S2 school outdoor centre groups have been published and dates are out this week – to the delight of many S2.

 

·         The Higher Drama acting exam took place this week with 100% attendance.
