Luca's girls
Six S4 girls raised money through a variety of fundraising activities that they organised themselves, to raise funds to help pay for Autism specialists to work with a young boy called Luca. This money was to help his development and understanding.
Luca has Autism and Neurofibromatosis and cannot speak. The money they raised has gone a long way to helping pay for help for him and small glimmers of progress are starting to show.
The girls won the Evening Times Champion Award for the South side Junior award. The girls and Mrs Stevenson went through to the Grand Final in the City Chambers on the 3rd of December, hosted by Libby McArthur of River City fame. Unfortunately they didn’t win but a good night was had by all.
