Latest news week ending 23rd January 2015.
Another busy week in January……….
· Irene Yuile has delivered the ‘Pre interview Lesson’ to all S4 PSE groups this week in preparation for practice interviews with a range of business partners.
· Mrs Husain’s S1- S3 Debating club started this week. There were 18 enthusiastic pupils with two university students as coaches. They had great fun with the ice-breakers and they will eventually compete.
· The S3 Focus West pupils spent the day at Strathclyde University on Tuesday.
· An S3 pupil was live on Radio Scotland on the Fred McCauley Show on Tuesday morning discussing outdoor learning and her Loch Eil experience. She presented very well indeed.
· An S5 pupil has applied for Space School supported by a glowing reference from Mr Shaw – fingers crossed.
· An S4 pupil has started the NQ General Cookery programme at City of Glasgow College, on Monday.
· An S5 pupil secured a Modern Apprenticeship with a nursery. She is awaiting a start date.
· The girl’s football team played really well at Toryglen on Tuesday night winning all their games.
· The S5/6 prelims end today.
· The P6/7 Parents Night on Wednesday went very well. We had a packed hall of interested parents and primary pupils. Our pupils who spoke or worked with the primary pupils represented us well.
