Netball Team scores Daily Record sports team of the Year
The Castlemilk High School Netball Team has just won the Daily Record Sports Team of the Year. The girls received their prize from Scotland’s Lee on Saturday 30th January 2011.
Two Olympic athletics, Kim Collins and Virgil Hodge also visited the girls at school and the girls had the chance to ask the athletes a number of questions and compete against them in a netball shoot out challenge.
The Castlemilk High girls won their award not only for their achievements, including winning the first Netball Tournament of the season at Kelvinhall, but also for their dedication and commitment to the sport.
The girls work hard in school to promote netball to the younger girls, help coach at training sessions and run whole school netball tournaments.
