Here is a mini newround of all the happenings at CHS during the week beginning 21/10/13

Int2/Higher Drama pupils enjoyed a  production of the Steamie in Eastwood Theatre on Wednesday night performed by the Giffnock players.

 Mr Fraser (DHT) has organised the seniors ever popular driving lessons which have now started. The driving instructor reported on how promising some of our pupils were after just one lesson – Shannon Steele, Derek Black and  Amy Doyle were some of the best pupils he has ever worked with.

Mr Boland’s first gathering of the newly formed film club met on Wednesday after school to watch the Lorax.   This attracted interest from S1 and S2 pupils with Mr Boland even supplying popcorn.

Pupils at assemblies were informed of the Health and Wellbeing approach CHS want to adopt as a school in terms of healthy eating. From Monday, pupils will not be allowed to consume high energy sports drinks or take away foods in the social area. This approach has come from pupil council and the parent council have also been consulted.
