Here is a mini newsround of all the news from the week ending 7th February
· We had some fantastic badminton results from the weekend:
o Lauren Fairlie and Taylor Campbell finished 1st and 2nd in the U14 Glasgow School’s Badminton Championships
o Laura Strain finished 1st with Christina Lamont 3rd in the U16 event .
o The girls won their doubles event.
o All four girls will qualify for the Scottish School Championships in Perth later.
· Elodie and her seniors invited everyone to celebrate “la chandeleur” with them and eat crepes (homemade of course)
· 4 senior boys attended an engineering event at the City Chambers relevant to their career interests. They were, Robbie Steel, Connor Whiteside, Connor McEwan and Saul Dougherty to give them career ideas.
· Mrs Stevenson and Mr Boland along with Shannon Clark, David Brown, Caroline McKinlay and Emma Robertson gave a presentation to the judges of the Merchants House Creativity Award in support of their entry for this Glasgow competition. There was some additional drama when David Brown fainted! However their presentation was excellent and the pupils were confident in their delivery. No outcome as yet.
