Here is a mini-newround from the week ending 25/4/14:
The Glasgow Youth Games were held on Thursday the 24th of April at the Emirates Arena. We entered 2 Athletics Teams, 3 Gymnastics Teams and a Cycling Team. We had some fantastic results with the cyclists being placed first, the gymnasts 4th and then some great individual results in the Athletics. Also all the pupils had the great experience of participating in the Emirates Arena.
The Easter Revision classes were on for 2 weeks with many staff giving up generous amounts of their holiday to support the pupils.
David Arendarik, Victoria Smith, Haley Miller, Chloe Elliot, Taylor Campbell and Suzanne Taggart attended Anne Frank Ambassador training yesterday and today working alongside many pupils from other schools.
Mr Oberg has been organising a programme of skills - related experiences for the Nat 4 pupils not involved in exams to run over the next month. This includes pupils being involved with the Carnbooth Hotel, Radio 1 Academy, Barclays Bank and Glasgow Caledonian University and other partners.
Miss Heffron, Mrs McKenna, Chloe Watson and Kiera McGregor attended the Passover celebrations of the Giffnock Thistle Club during the holiday. They were treated as VIPs and we now have the link for work experience posts with them.
